Most travel apps are built for international itineraries — flights between world cities, hotels bookable in USD. India is different. The core transport is train. The planning unit is the group (families, friends, office trips). The cost variable that matters is stayType — budget lodge, mid-range hotel, or resort — not star rating.
Tourisma is built around those realities. It knows about Tatkal quota, IRCTC booking windows, monsoon road closures in Spiti, and why you shouldn't plan Kedarnath in February. This isn't scraped from travel blogs — it's a curated dataset built place by place.
The engine is deterministic TypeScript, not a vague LLM prompt. That means the itinerary logic is testable, auditable, and consistent. AI helps with natural-language input (type your trip idea however you want) and editorial summaries — but the planning itself is algorithmic.
