Sorted by how good the month is first, then trips that fill your days, then the ones closest to your budget. In India each card is one place, and the planner keeps a one-place trip to that place’s own length plus two days, so a long trip can show fewer days: add places in the planner to stretch it. Each country abroad is priced as a trip round its main city and best-known places for the length; the planner lets you change it.
Each one is the planner’s own per-person estimate for that exact trip, the figure “Plan this trip” opens on: the travel from where it starts and back (and between places), stays with the hotel tax, food at the tier you picked, getting around, entry fees, and a 8% buffer for the small things. From a city in India, trips abroad include the flights there and back. From the airport you land at, a trip starts and ends at that airport, and the flights to it are not included. The visa fee is not in the planner’s total: where we have the country’s rules for your passport, it is shown beside it and counted against your budget. In India the entry fees are the ones your passport pays: many sights charge foreign visitors more, and where no foreign rate is on record a card says its price is the Indian one.
The month’s verdict comes from the same season data as the guides: observed climate and each place’s best-time window in India, and each country’s own season notes and alerts abroad. The planner keeps your travel-mode and pace settings from your last plan; these prices use its defaults.
