About this circuit

The most-travelled route in India for a reason: three cities, each a different empire. Delhi's Mughal and British layers, the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, then the forts and pink bazaars of Jaipur — about 230 km between each pair, so no leg is more than half a day.

Why it matters

Seven UNESCO World Heritage sites sit on the three cities: the Red Fort, Qutub Minar and Humayun's Tomb in Delhi, the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri around Agra, and Jaipur's walled city with Amer Fort and Jantar Mantar.

Stop by stop

How the 6 days split across the 3 stops, and what each one costs on the ground for two.

India's capital, layered with 8 historic cities — Mughal Red Fort & Jama Masjid in Old Delhi, Lutyens' colonial axis in New Delhi, the towering Qutub Minar (UNESCO), Humayun's Tomb, Lotus Temple, and the chaotic, delicious Chandni Chowk.

Don't miss: Red Fort & Jama Masjid Old Delhi · Qutub Minar UNESCO complex.
