About this circuit

The classic Kerala loop in a week: a day in colonial Fort Kochi, two nights among Munnar's tea estates at 1,600 m, a night by the Periyar reserve at Thekkady, then down to Alleppey for a night on a houseboat. Each drive is three to four hours on hill or country roads, so the days stay unhurried.

Why it matters

Four of Kerala's defining landscapes in one loop — the spice-port heritage of Fort Kochi, the Western Ghats tea country, the Periyar Tiger Reserve and the Vembanad backwaters — with Kochi airport at both ends, so no backtracking.
