About this circuit
Central India's forest corridor hosts the world's densest tiger population. Bandhavgarh has India's highest tiger density; Kanha inspired Kipling's Jungle Book. Kabini in Karnataka is where elephants cross the river at dusk. Mysuru adds a royal layer with its palace and Chamundi Hills.
Why it matters
India has ~3,600 wild tigers — more than 70% of the world's total. Bandhavgarh National Park averages a tiger sighting on ~90% of safaris. The central Indian forest corridor connects reserves across MP, Maharashtra, and Karnataka, forming the largest tiger landscape on earth.

Good to know
- ·Morning safaris (6–10am) have significantly higher tiger sighting rates
- ·Parks close for monsoon (Jul–Sep) — don't plan a wildlife trip then
- ·Kabini elephant crossing at sunset is peak season (Feb–May) spectacle
- ·Bandhavgarh to Kabini is a full day's journey — fly Jabalpur–Bangalore for sanity
