- Ferry, SeaJets / Golden Star high-speed boat from Rafina: Rafina is about an hour from central Athens by KTEL bus, and closer to the airport. High-speed boats are the first cancelled when the meltemi blows in July and August.

- Typical stay: 3 days
- November: Better avoided: Mykonos is a summer island: from November to March nearly every hotel, beach club, restaurant and the Delos boats close, and the high-speed ferries stop. The town still has a few rooms and the conventional ferry runs; for a winter island trip choose Naxos, Santorini or Crete instead.
