- Private car, Car with driver / PickMe, per vehicle: No through train: the hill-country line beyond Kandy was cut by Cyclone Ditwah's landslides in November 2025, and in 2026 the scenic trains were reported starting at Nanu Oya. If through trains from Colombo and Kandy have resumed, they take about 9-10 h to Ella; check eticket.railway.gov.lk.
