• Private car, Car with driver via Dochula, Pele La, Yotong La, Thrumshing La, per vehicle: two days' drive, night at Bumthang: About 17 hours of mountain driving: break it with a night at Bumthang, or add that place to the trip.
• Bus, Public bus (two days, overnight stop on the way): For Indian visitors with a route permit: tourists on a visa travel in their operator's vehicle. Buy tickets a day ahead at the bus terminal; long routes leave early in the morning and some run only on certain days.
