Baratang island passes through Jarawa Tribal Reserve — convoy movement only (6:00 AM & 2:00 PM from Jirkatang). Photography of tribals is strictly prohibited. Permit from Andaman administration required.
Restricted tribal areas
No permit for Indians on the main tourist islands, but tribal reserves (incl. parts of the Nicobars) are off-limits.
