Anchorage & Kenai Fjords

Glaciers, Fjords and the Midnight Sun

2 daysIdeal stay₹16,170From / night₹5,230Food / dayFreeEntry

Alaska's biggest city is the base for a summer trip north: the Turnagain Arm drive (beluga whales and Dall sheep) to Seward for a Kenai Fjords cruise past calving glaciers, puffins and whales, the Alaska Native Heritage Center, glacier flightseeing, and the Alaska Railroad to Denali. From June to early July it barely gets dark. Tours, cruises and the scenic trains run from about mid-May to mid-September; in winter Anchorage is cold and dark, with the northern lights and the Iditarod start in March for those who come.
