- Typical stay: 2 days
- November: Better avoided: Denali is a summer trip: the park buses, the lodges at the entrance and the Alaska Railroad's daily Denali Star run from about mid-May to mid-September. In winter the road is open only to mile 3 (Park Headquarters), most services are shut and temperatures fall far below freezing. Plan a visit for June to August.
