Paris to Nice by train or flight

Every option, compared

Door-to-door times (flights include the time at the airports). Fares are typical ranges from the cheapest seat to the premium one.

• Flight, Air France / easyJet / Transavia (Orly or CDG): About 1 h 25 in the air; Nice airport is 20-30 minutes from the centre by tram.
• Train, TGV inOui / Ouigo from Gare de Lyon: About 5 h 40-6 h; the last stretch along the coast is slow but beautiful.
• Train, Intercités de nuit sleeper from Austerlitz: Couchettes of four or six; leaves Paris in the evening and reaches Nice in the morning. Check that it runs on your date: works close the line on some nights.
