About this circuit

Three capitals joined by fast trains: four days in Paris for the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame and Montmartre, with Versailles a half-day out by RER C; the Eurostar to Brussels-Midi, about 1 h 20, for the Grand-Place, the Atomium and the Magritte Museum; then the Eurocity Direct through Schiphol to Amsterdam for the canal ring, the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, and the flight home from Schiphol.

Why it matters

Amsterdam's 17th-century canal ring is a UNESCO site, Notre-Dame in Paris reopened in December 2024, and the Grand-Place, with its gilded guildhalls and Gothic Town Hall, is the heart of Brussels. Indian food is easiest in Paris, round Passage Brady and in the Tamil quarter of La Chapelle, and in Amsterdam, where Amstelveen, south of the city by tram, has a large Indian community and Surinamese-Hindustani roti shops are everywhere.

Stop by stop

How the 9 days split across the 3 stops, and what each one costs on the ground for two.

1.ParisDay 1–4 · 4 days here

The capital and where almost every flight from India lands (Charles de Gaulle). The Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame (reopened in December 2024), Montmartre, the Musée d'Orsay and the Seine fill three days; the Palace of Versailles is a half-day trip by RER C train. Indian food is easy to find: Passage Brady and rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis (10th arrondissement) and the Tamil shops and restaurants of La Chapelle have pure-vegetarian South and North Indian food. Museums and big monuments need timed tickets booked online.

Don't miss: The Louvre and the Mona Lisa · Eiffel Tower at night.

How long: 4 days, which is the recommended stay.

Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), 25 km

4 days for two from ₹97,832 · ₹1,86,878 mid-range — stay, food, local travel and entry; the journey here is extra

2.BrusselsDay 5–6 · 2 days here

Belgium's capital, and where flights from India land (Brussels Airport at Zaventem, about 20 minutes by train from the centre; there is no non-stop from India, so it is one stop through the Gulf, Istanbul or a European hub). The Grand-Place with its gilded guildhalls and Gothic Town Hall, Manneken Pis, the Royal Museums of Fine Arts and the Magritte Museum, the comic-strip murals, the European Parliament's Parlamentarium and, on the north side, the Atomium. Every two years in mid-August (even years: next in 2028) the Grand-Place is covered by the Flower Carpet, and from late November the Winter Wonders Christmas market fills the centre. Brussels-Midi is the Eurostar station for Paris (about 1 h 20) and London (about 2 h). Vegetarian food is easy, and the centre and Ixelles have Indian restaurants (estimate).

Don't miss: The Grand-Place lit up at night · Atomium and its views.

How long: 2 days here; on its own Brussels is worth 3 — add a day if you can.

Brussels Airport (BRU), 14 km

2 days for two from ₹31,318 · ₹62,739 mid-range — stay, food, local travel and entry; the journey here is extra

3.AmsterdamDay 7–9 · 3 days here

The capital and where every flight from India lands (Schiphol, 15 minutes by train from Amsterdam Centraal). The 17th-century canal ring (UNESCO), the Rijksmuseum with Rembrandt's Night Watch, the Van Gogh Museum, the Anne Frank House, the Jordaan, Vondelpark and the markets fill three days; a canal boat tour is the classic first hour. Book the big museums online: the Van Gogh Museum sells only timed tickets online, and the Anne Frank House releases its tickets every Tuesday for six weeks ahead. Indian food is easy: restaurants across the centre, and Amstelveen, south of the city by tram, has a large Indian community with Indian grocers and vegetarian restaurants; Surinamese-Hindustani roti shops are everywhere. Amsterdam adds a 12.5% tourist tax to every hotel bill (included in the prices here). Trains from Centraal reach every place in this list.

Don't miss: Rembrandt's Night Watch at the Rijksmuseum · Van Gogh Museum.

How long: 3 days, which is the recommended stay.

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS), 15 km

3 days for two from ₹72,478 · ₹1,38,436 mid-range — stay, food, local travel and entry; the journey here is extra

What it costs

from ₹1,80,950 a person

When to go

JFMAMJJASOND
April to June and September to October suit all three; from November to February the days are short, wet and windy by the North Sea, and in July and August Paris can reach 35-40 °C in a heatwave, often in rooms without air-conditioning

Entry rules

  • Schengen visa: France, Belgium and the Netherlands

Visa needed before you fly for up to 90 days, about ₹9,590

One visa covers all 3: apply to France, where the route spends the most days, under its rules; the days allowed count across them.

Apply for a Schengen short-stay (type C) visa on france-visas.gouv.fr, up to six months and at least 15 days before you fly; 4-8 weeks ahead is safest in summer and December.

Checked 2026-10. Full rules for France

Good to know

  • ·Indian passports need one Schengen visa for all three countries: apply to France, the longest stay, 4-8 weeks ahead (appointments are hardest to get from April to July); it does not cover the United Kingdom
  • ·Paris to Brussels is the Eurostar (the former Thalys) from Gare du Nord, about 1 h 20; Brussels to Amsterdam is the Eurocity Direct through Schiphol, about 2 hours, or the Eurostar, a little quicker
  • ·Book the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower for timed slots, and the Van Gogh Museum (timed tickets online only) and the Anne Frank House (released every Tuesday for six weeks ahead) as soon as your dates are fixed
  • ·Strikes in France and national strike days in Belgium can cancel trains and flights at a few days' notice: check SNCF Connect and your airline, and keep a spare day before the flight home
  • ·Keukenhof's tulips peak around mid-April (it opens 18 March to 9 May in 2027), but King's Day, 27 April 2027, fills Amsterdam and gives its hotels their highest rates of the year
