• Train, Watania sleeper train, Giza–Luxor (overnight): Watania Sleeping Trains: a 2-berth cabin with a basin, dinner and breakfast. Foreigners pay in US dollars (about US$90 a person sharing, US$130 alone); book a few days ahead through Watania or at the Giza or Ramses station office. Saves a night's hotel.
• Train, Day train, Giza–Luxor: Egyptian National Railways day trains; tickets at the station or online from Egyptian National Railways. Take 1st class air-con; the VIP and Talgo trains are the most comfortable.
• Flight, Car to Cairo airport + EgyptAir Cairo–Luxor: Giza is 1-1.5 hours from Cairo airport across the city.
